The future of Andre Onana at Manchester United is once again in the spotlight, with former club Inter Milan considering a move to bring the goalkeeper back to Serie A.
The 29-year-old shot-stopper has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford and could be on the move this summer, with both European and Middle Eastern clubs circling, sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside.
Onana arrived at United in 2023 with the reputation of being one of Europe’s most reliable keepers, but his performances in England have often come under scrutiny. The goalkeeper made 50 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions last season.
Andre Onana has struggled to perform at Man United
Supporters grew increasingly frustrated last season, pointing to his save percentage being among the lowest in the Premier League.
Matters worsened when he missed part of pre-season and sat out the recent clash with Arsenal due to injury, raising fresh doubts about his long-term role in Ruben Amorim’s plans.
Despite these struggles, Inter have not forgotten Onana’s impact during his time in Italy. The Cameroonian played a key role in the Nerazzurri’s run to the Champions League final, and his commanding presence between the posts earned him admiration from both the fans and coaching staff.
Inter’s hierarchy are eager to refresh their goalkeeping department and see Onana as a serious candidate for a return, believing he would welcome the opportunity to revive his career back in Serie A.
Ruben Amorim is ready to offload Onana

At Man United, the stance remains uncertain. Amorim is open to making changes in the goalkeeping position, but no formal steps have been taken yet.
However, the club are prepared to entertain offers in the region of £30 million. That figure may prove too steep for Inter, who are also exploring cheaper alternatives, but it is unlikely to deter Saudi clubs.
Strong interest has emerged from the Gulf, with Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Qadsiyah all keeping close tabs on Onana.
Unlike Inter, these clubs possess the financial power to meet United’s asking price without hesitation.
