Christian Heidel has confirmed that Aaron Martin is playing his final season in a Mainz shirt.

Mainz 05 have confirmed that Aaron Martin will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.


“Both sides have decided to go separate ways this summer,” Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel told the Bild newspaper.

“Aarón is a great player who will give everything for Mainz 05 until his last day here. And then we part ways, that’s how it is. We have no bad words for each other”.

Aarón has made a total of 121 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
