Lucas Bergvall’s transition from Sweden to top-flight English Premier League football has been made easier thanks to one teammate.
The 18-year-old midfielder joined Spurs in the summer after the club reached an agreement worth a reported €10 million with Djurgarden.
And being included in Ange Postecoglou’s squad, the talented teenager has already featured in all of Spurs’ three opening Premier League games this season with his best performance a 12-minute cameo against Leicester City.
What has Lucas Bergvall said about Dejan Kulusevski?
Settling into life in London seems to have been a breeze for the playmaker and acknowledging the help he’s received from compatriot Dejan Kulusevski, Bergvall spoke highly of the Spurs winger during a recent interview.
“He [Kulusevski] has helped me a lot on and off the pitch. A good person and an incredibly good footballer,” he told Fotbollskanalen.

“I have received an incredible amount of help. He’s a fantastic person and player, who has helped me get into the group and everything around it.”
“More generally an extra support if you have a tougher training. It could be a gym session or exercises. He helps, it can be anything.”
The pair appear to get on well off the pitch and fans will be hoping their connection can soon translate on the pitch especially with the North London Derby first up after the international break.
