Marcel Lotka has put pen to paper at the 2.Bundesliga club.
Borussia Dortmund’s Marcel Lotka has joined Fortuna Düsseldorf, the 2.Bundesliga outfit has announced.
The 24-year-old, whose contract had just expired, joins the club on a free transfer and reportedly signs a three-year contract.
“After three years in Dortmund, it felt like the right time to open a new chapter in my career,” the German-born Polish shot-stopper said.
“The discussions with those in charge and the prospects at Fortuna Düsseldorf completely convinced me.
“I’m looking forward to the competition at Fortuna and want to do my part in the goalkeeping team to achieve our goals,” he said.
Born in Duisburg, he spent three years at BVB but only played for the U-23’s. After relegation from the 3.Liga, his departure was inevitable.
