The Athletic reports that Liverpool have immediately rejected Bayern Munich’s bid for Colombian winger Luis Diaz.
The bid was said to be worth €67.5m, but the Premier League champions view the 28-year-old as an important part of their squad and have valued him at €100m. Diaz also has two years left on his contract at Anfield.
Diaz has made it clear to Liverpool that he wants to leave the club.
Sky Germany reports that Bayern are preparing a new offer for the Colombian, as he is their top priority. An agreement with the winger is unlikely to be a problem, and he would sign a contract with the Bundesliga side until either 2028 or 2029.
Left wing is an area that Bayern are working to improve the position this summer after being rejected by Nico Williams and Florian Wirtz this summer. Other names mentioned are Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard of Arsenal, as well as Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku.
