Jesper Lindstrøm has been heavily linked with a move away from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, with RB Leipzig and Arsenal among his suitors.

Currently on international duty with Denmark, Lindstrøm was asked by the Danish media yesterday if he feels ready for a summer move. He answered:

“Yes and no. I’ve said that I enjoy playing in the Champions League and the big tournaments in general. But if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen.

“I love living and playing in Frankfurt. It’s a really cool place. The facilities are great, it’s a first class city and the airport is close. My girlfriend also likes living there, which is important to me, because if she’s not happy, I’m not happy.

“It happens if it happens, and I’ll take it from there. I’m open to everything. If I stay, I stay, and if I go, I go.”

The 23-year-old went on to stress that he doesn’t want to leave Eintracht at any price, with regular playing time one of the key factors he’s considering.

“Before a transfer, I’d look at the coach, the style of play and the competition – if it’s possible to get playing time. If that’s not the case, I think it’s ridiculous to change clubs.”

Lindstrøm also revealed that he has discussed a possible move to RB Leipzig with his Danish teammate Yussuf Poulsen, who has played for the club since 2013.

“Of course I’ve talked to him. He’s playing for Leipzig himself. But it’s much more than that. There is interest and if I had to talk about all the clubs that are interested, I wouldn’t do anything else.

“I leave it to my agent. Han is talking to the people he needs to talk to and then we’ll see what happens,” concluded Lindstrøm, whose contract with Frankfurt expires in 2026.
