Die Werkself are in for a busy summer of spending in the transfer window ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Bayer Leverkusen will sign between five and seven new players this summer, BILD journalist Axel Hesse reports.
Not only young players will be brought in, but also experienced ones to preserve a shot at winning silverware.
The first one will be a defender – two center-backs are supposed to arrive. AC Milan’s Malik Thiaw, valued at €20-25million, is a candidate.
The preferred solution in goal remains Espanyol’s Joan García, who’d cost more than €20million with multiple clubs also interested.
Brentford’s Mark Flekken, who is available for around €10million, is among the alternatives in the shot-stopping department.
A new right-back to replace Jeremie Frimpong as well as offensive reinforcements are also supposed to be signed.
