Letsch named new Bochum coach

Thomas Letsch has been unveiled as the new head coach of VfL Bochum.
Letsch joins the Bundesliga outfit from Dutch side Vitesse on a contract until 2024.

He replaces Thomas Reis, who was relieved of his duties earlier this month.

“Thomas Letsch is our ideal candidate for the position of head coach,” said Patrick Fabian, VfL Bochum managing director for sports.

“He has the necessary experience in professional football and is able to shape a team with a clear structure and playing style. At his previous clubs, he has also always helped talented players to develop further.

“We are confident that, as a very communicative coach, he will succeed in giving the team new impetus and thus achieve the turnaround together with the entire team, the staff and the support of the fans.”

Bochum sit bottom of the Bundesliga table with one point after seven games.
