According to Bild and British sports journalist Pete O’Rourke, an option for Leroy Sané would be a move to Arsenal in the coming seasons. The winger’s contract at Bayern isn’t due to expire until 2025 but discussion about his role will take place next summer.
As per the report, Bayern wishes to continue to work with the German international but his role as a starter may be in jeopardy. This could force Sané to look elsewhere for more regular football. One team that has been mentioned as a possible suitor is Arsenal.
Pete ’Rourke and the Bayern Insider believe this to be the case but the transfer may not happen until the 2024/25 season should Sané not extend his current contract. Arsenal look like a revived team this season under head coach Mikel Arteta and are finally challenging for Premier League titles once again. With a blend of experienced and young talent, Arsenal could be a desirable location should Sané not which to extend his contract past 2025.
