Could the French defender be set for a return to the Bundesrepublik?
As reported by L’Équipe, Borussia Dortmund is said to be very interested in Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix.
With 43 appearances in all competitions, Lacroix had a strong last season, putting himself in the spotlight of top European clubs.
In addition to Die Schwarzgelben, Tottenham Hotspur and several Italian clubs are said to have inquired about the centre-half.
However the 25-year-old still has a contract with the Eagles until 2029, therefore he’s unlikely to come cheap.
Lacroix, who previously played over 111 games for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, could strengthen the BVB rearguard.
Nico Schlotterbeck, their defensive leader, is still out. Emre Can often played injured, while Bensebaini could still leave this summer.
For this reason, it only makes sense for the Black and Yellows’ management to continue looking for an alternatives in his position.
