After seven years at Bayern Munich, a departure is looking increasingly likely for Leon Goretzka.
The 30-year-old midfielder is under contract until the summer of 2026 and, despite his desire to stay, is unlikely to be offered a new deal, according to Bild.
Goretzka faces stiff competition in midfield, with Joshua Kimmich a certain starter and youngsters Aleksandar Pavlović and Tom Bischof both pushing for more playing time.
In addition, Goretzka reportedly earns around €17 million per year, making him one of the more well-paid players in Bayern’s squad.
The former Bochum and Schalke player has made 272 appearances for the German record champions, scoring 46 goals and providing 48 assists.
