Foot Mercato report that RC Lens defender Kevin Danso is attracting significant interest across Europe this summer after a superb season for the Ligue 1 runners-up.
AC Milan, Napoli, and Fiorentina have all expressed interest in the 24-year-old centre-back, as have unnamed Premier League sides. However, Lens are edging closer to agreeing a new contract with their defensive lynchpin as they head into the Champions League group stages next season.
Although nothing is completed as yet, the French club is positive about finding a deal to ward off the advances of various suitors, as the Austrian international feels good in Lens and already has a contract that runs until 2026.
Playing at the centre of a three-man backline, Ligue 1’s best this season – conceding just 29 goals, ten fewer than any other side – Danso has arguably been Ligue 1’s standout player in 2023, having arrived from Augsburg in 2021 for just £5m.
