With Arsenal now looking unlikely to sign Benjamin Šeško, the Slovenian forward could stay at RB Leipzig after all.
According to reports from multiple sources, including The Athletic, Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Sporting CP star Viktor Gyökeres.
With Arsenal turning to Gyökeres, Šeško’s proposed move is now very unlikely to happen, meaning he may stay at Leipzig.
According to Bild, there is currently no other serious contender for Šeško, who has been priced at a hefty €80 million by Leipzig.
However, that could still change before the transfer window closes at the end of August, with Leipzig open to selling if the price is right.
