Talks between RB Leipzig and Dani Olmo over a new contract have been dragging on for some time now, with a departure looking increasingly likely as time goes on.

However, Leipzig are not giving up on keeping the Spaniard, but are now set to make him a take-it-or-leave-it offer, according to Sky Germany.

The German media outlet claims that the Bundesliga outfit are prepared to go to their financial limits and insert two clauses into the deal.

It’s claimed that Leipzig could set a general release clause of 70 million for Olmo, while a second clause could give clubs from Spain the chance to sign him for less than other clubs.

Should it prove impossible to reach an agreement with Olmo, Leipzig would look to sell in the summer to avoid losing him for free in 2024, according to the report, which mentions 30 million as a possible price in this case.

Top European clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be monitoring the attacking midfielder’s situation.
