
The young midfielder has officially joined Die Roten Bullen.
RB Leipzig has announced the signing of Andrija Maksimović via social media post this afternoon, Wednesday.
One of Serbian football’s most highly rated talents has signed a contract with the Saxony club until 2030.
Red Star Belgrade will receive a transfer fee of €14million, making Maksimovic Serbia’s record export.
“Andrija is a technically skilled midfielder who can play both in the center and on the wing,” said Leipzig’s sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
“Not only does he have good vision and excellent ball control, he also takes excellent set pieces.
“We have closely followed his development in his first season and are confident that he is already ready for the next step,” he added.
