According to Fabrizio Romano, Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig to Leeds United is a done deal. The 23-year-old central-midfielder will sign a long-term contract with the club.
The American international will travel to England and complete his medical tests in Leeds.
Leeds head coach Jesse March has had his eyes set on Adams for a while and it’s now clear that Adams will meet up with his fellow compatriot in the Premier League.
It’s reported that Leeds will pay Leipzig around €23m or the equivalent of £20m including add-ons.
Leipzig were open to selling the youngster even more so given last month’s signing of Xaver Schlager from Wolfsburg for €12m. The Austrian wasn’t a replacement for Konrad Laimer, as originally suggested, but instead comes in with Adams and Amadou Haidara allowed to leave the Bundesliga club.
Adams played 36 games in all competitions for RB Leipzig last season and has played 102 games in all competitions since his €2.5m move from NYRB in January 2019.
