Robert Lewandowski has outlined the reasons behind his transfer from Bayern to Barcelona.
Robert Lewandowski has explained why he wanted to leave Bayern München for FC Barcelona.
Speaking in an interview with Bild after his move to Spain was confirmed, the Polish international admitted that it was the hardest decision of his life.
“The last few weeks have been difficult. It’s not easy for me to find the right words. There’s a lot going on in my head right now. Lately I’ve been trying to stay relaxed, to enjoy the holidays with my family,” said Lewandowski.
“I wanted to play in another league than the Bundesliga, I had made that decision for a long time. But I have to emphasize that was the most difficult decision of my life.
“I wanted to live somewhere else, discover something new with my family. My daughter Klara will start school next year, we had to make this decision. If not now, then that would probably never have been possible. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
