Lazio are making significant progress in their push to sign Lorenzo Insigne and could have an agreement in place with the player as early as December, according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb (TMW).
The signing of Insigne, who has long been desired by coach Maurizio Sarri since their time together at Napoli, is shaping up to be the major incoming move of the January transfer window for the Biancocelesti.
The report indicates that “the table is already set” for the move, with a contract offer of €1.3 million running until the end of the season already prepared. Crucially, the deal is advancing quickly, with the possibility of the player’s registration being completed in December, allowing him to be available to play for the club starting in January.
This operation, alongside a potential exchange deal for Ivan Ilic, will be part of Lazio’s “zero-balance” market strategy, meaning an incoming signing must be balanced by an outgoing sale.
