According to Bild, Borussia Mönchengladbach will watch Lausanne-Sport’s Zeki Amdouni on Tuesday during Switzerland’s Euro 2024 qualifying game against Israel.
Amdouni is seen as a replacement for Lars Stindl who is likely to leave at the end of the season and return home to Karlsruhe. The 22-year-old is on loan at Lausanne from Basel and has a contract until 2024, Amdouni is currently valued at €2.5 million.
Amdouni is reportedly able to play as a left-winger, striker and attacking midfielder which means he is a like-for-like replacement for Stindl. This season, Amoduni has played 36 times for Lausanne scoring 12 times and assisting three.
Gladbach will have a boost as the Switzerland team is filled with current and former players who could advise Amdouni. Nico Elvedi and Jonas Omlin are the current players, while the likes of Breel Embolo, Yann Sommer and Denis Zakaria have all left Gladbach over the past year.
