Sevilla could be edging closer to signing Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto this summer.
The Spaniard didn’t have a great 2021/22 season under Maurizio Sarri and he is one of the players who can leave Lazio this summer.
Il Messaggero have reported that Sevilla did have an initial offer rejected for Luis Alberto. They offered the Biancocelesti a fee of €16 million for the midfielder but Lazio wanted a fee of around €30 million right now.
But the feeling is that the clubs could meet at a middle point and potentially close the deal at around €25 million this summer.
While Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has also been linked with moves away from Lazio, there is a possibility that he stays this summer. Luis Alberto didn’t have an impressive 2021/22 season by his usual standards but the midfielder was very important for the club as he racked up 11 assists throughout the Serie A campaign.
