Inter’s Milan Skriniar gives approval to Paris Saint-Germain move after chat with ex-teammate

Inter defender Milan Skriniar has given an approval to a potential switch to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have stated today that Skriniar has become willing to embrace the new project at PSG. While the defender was earlier said to be rather cold on the idea of a move, Inter’s financial need and PSG’s willingness to keep holding talks for him has convinced Skriniar about the move.

He has now given a definitive ‘yes’ the idea of a move, even if it means leaving Inter – the club he actually feels a very good connection with. It is now down to the two clubs to negotiate the player’s exit. While Skriniar did have last few doubts about the transfer, he had a phone call with Achraf Hakimi, who convinced him about the move.

Skriniar was initially looking to know more about the project and was less interested in the fact that PSG were doubling his current wage. But Hakimi’s words pleased him.

PSG have already offered €60 million for the Slovak but Inter’s demand remains at €80 million. An initial offer of €50 million was also rejected previously. But there is a feeling that like it was with Hakimi, insertion of bonuses that carry the deal through.
