Gregor Kobel and Julian Brandt are racing against the clock to be fit for Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga clash with VfL Bochum on Sunday.
Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has confirmed that both players are battling with illness.
“Both Gregor Kobel and Julian Brandt could not train due to illness. We’ll see how it develops in the next few days and hours, but there’s definitely a question mark hanging over them,” Terzic said at a press conference on Friday.
On the positive side for Dortmund, Niklas Süle, Emre Can and Mats Hummels are all expected to be fit and available.
“Niklas Süle trained without any complaints. We expect him to return for sure. Emre Can and Mats Hummels are also expected to return and should be available against Bochum.
