Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ‘would love’ to lure Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe to Anfield, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Reds may have shattered their club-record transfer fee when they forked out £85million to sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica during the summer, but it appears that figure could be surpassed in the coming months.

What’s the latest news involving Mbappe?
According to Spanish sources, Mbappe could head to Liverpool if he is allowed to leave reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG in the not-too-distant future.
The report suggests the Merseyside giants attempted to sign the 59-cap France international earlier this year, when his current employers were unwilling to do business with Real Madrid.
Although it was initially reported that Mbappe is pushing to leave PSG in January after feeling ‘betrayed’, he has since denied wanting to secure a quickfire exit.
While the French outfit do not want to sell their talisman, it is understood that a bid worth upwards of £300million could be enough to tempt them into agreeing terms.
Along with Liverpool and Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have been named as potential destinations for Mbappe.

What has Pete O’Rourke said about Mbappe?
Although O’Rourke has doubts over whether Liverpool will be able to stump up the cash needed to complete Mbappe’s acquisition, he believes Klopp would be interested in attempting to strike a deal.
The journalist is certain that the 23-year-old would improve the Reds in the final third after impressing during the early stages of his career.
O’Rourke told GIVEMESPORT: “The big question for Liverpool is whether they can afford a deal for Mbappe.
“I’m sure Jurgen Klopp would love him because he would definitely improve his team. He’s a world class player but financially will be the big sticking point.”
Could Mbappe join Liverpool in January?
While it is thought that it will be difficult to sign Mbappe midway through the season, a summer exit from the French capital could be on the cards.
The Liverpool target only signed a new three-year contract in May, putting PSG in a strong negotiating position and making negotiations even more difficult from his suitors’ point of view.
Mbappe’s deal is worth close to £44million-per-year, while he also claimed a £157.5million signing bonus, and it will be extremely difficult for Liverpool to offer a contract worth a similar sum.
The 2018 World Cup winner has registered more than 270 goal contributions during his time at PSG and would certainly be a high-profile addition to Klopp’s side, but it will not be easy to complete a deal.
