Holstein Kiel coach Marcel Rapp made a change at the goalkeeper position for last Saturday’s match against Werder Bremen, with Thomas Dähne coming in at the expense of Timon Weiner.
Although Holstein Kiel lost the game 0-3, Dähne will get another chance between the sticks when they travel to Mainz this weekend.
“Tommy had no chance to stop the goals and did a good job. He’ll at least be in goal again next weekend,” Rapp told Kieler Nachrichten.
Who will be in goal after the Mainz game is undecided at this stage.
Holstein Kiel are rooted to the foot of the Bundesliga table, three points behind Bochum in 17th place.
