Dortmund join Leipzig in race for Keita

Naby Keita could make his first appearance for Werder Bremen in Saturday’s clash with FC Köln.


Naby Keita could finally make his long-awaited Werder Bremen debut when the Green and Whites host FC Köln in the Bundesliga on Saturday.


Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Werder coach Ole Werner said the Liverpool and RB Leipzig midfielder is expected to be an option off the bench.

“Everyone is fit and in the running for the squad. Naby Keïta isn’t ready to start yet, but he could come on during the game”.

Keita, who joined Werder from Liverpool, picked up an injury before the club’s first game of the season and hasn’t played for his new club as a result.
