Ahead of this evening’s meeting with Albania, England’s Harry Kane was asked discussing the potential winners of the 2026 World Cup with his Bayern Munich teammates.
“There’s obviously France. Me and Michael [Olise] get on really well, and we joke about how it’s going to be next summer. With Upa [Upamecano] as well.
“Most of the Germans too, Germany will want to go far in the tournament. I think it’s healthy competition and healthy banter between us to see who will get their hands on the World Cup.
“That’s part of every club and I enjoy those kinds of conversations, especially with Michael,” explained the 32-year-old during his England team press conference.
Regarding his personal statistics for Bayern so far with 23 goals and 3 assists in 17 competitive games, Kane feels he is in the form of his life.
“I’d say probably yeah. I had good moments throughout my career, but physically, mentally, the goals, the way I’m involved in the game is more than the other years.
“I feel in a really good moment at Bayern. It’s been really good [for me] so far this season,” added the Englishman with a smile.
