Barcelona star Dani Olmo has made clear his stance on a potential move away from the club to those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou.
This comes amid mounting speculation linking the attacking midfielder with a potential Bundesliga return, on this occasion with reigning German champions Bayern Munich.
Spanish international Olmo has found himself in and out of the starting XI in Catalunya’s capital over the early weeks of the new campaign. Between La Liga and the Champions League, the 28-year-old has featured from the off in five fixtures, and from the bench in another five.
Forced to battle it out for minutes with the explosive Fermín López, Olmo appears to be considered more of a backup than first-choice by Hansi Flick at present.
This situation has given rise to widespread recent speculation surrounding his future. The aforementioned Bayern Munich, for one, are understood to be giving consideration to a big-money swoop for Olmo.
If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, however, then any such prospect does not appear to appeal to the player himself. As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Dani Olmo does not want to leave Barça. His will is to continue at the club and earn the prominence he believes he can have within Hansi Flick’s team.’
