Juventus-linked Petrachi would love to work with Tottenham boss Antonio Conte

Gianluca Petrachi has revealed that he wants to work with Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte.

The Italian boss joined Spurs in November 2021 following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.

The experienced manager made an immediate impact as he inspired his side to an impressive run that saw them finish in the top-four by the end of the season for the first time since 2019-20.

The North London outfit have mostly struggled for consistency this season. Defeats at Arsenal and Manchester United were followed with home losses against Newcastle United and Liverpool in the English top-flight.

But with the Reds and Chelsea also enduring an underwhelming season, the Lilywhites are still sitting fourth in the table with 29 points from 15 matches.

Petrachi, who is currently in contention to become the next sporting director at Juventus, recently revealed that he would love to work with the Italian boss.

He said (as relayed by TuttoJuve24): “Antonio and I have two very strong characters, so why not? It would be interesting to see us work together.”

One of the best coaches

Conte is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in the world.

The Italian boss started his managerial career in 2006, leading Bari to a Serie B title. After guiding Siena to Serie A promotion, he landed a job at Juventus where he won three consecutive league titles.

Conte also enjoyed a successful stint at Chelsea as he led the Londoners to the Premier League title in his first season. However, one of his most memorable spells came at Inter Milan where he ended the club’s league trophy drought by guiding them to the 2021 Serie A title.

The 53-year-old has achieved success at almost all his previous clubs, and it is no surprise if Petrachi wants to work with him.

However, the ex-Juventus boss doesn’t look to be going anywhere as he is preparing to sign new recruits in January in latest Tottenham news
