Juventus fail in late move for Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic

Serie A giants Juventus have failed in a late move to land Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

The Serbian midfielder was close to joining Napoli earlier in the window, but the move never went through. Inter have also been linked with the midfielder and so have Juve, who could yet make a summer move.

Sky Italia have reported about Juve’s interest in signing another midfielder in the last few days of the window, with atempts having made for Fiorentina’s Jack Bonaventura and Udinese’s Roberto Pereyra. They haven’t found a decisive opening in either moves, with Udinese asking for a higher fee than what Juve can pay.

A recent attempt was made for Samardzic. Juve offered a dry loan deal till the end of the season but Udinese rejected the attempt. Despite the rejection, Juve want to make sure that they hand Max Allegri another midfielder this month, so that they prepare for a title charge.
