Juventus are closing in on appointing Luciano Spalletti as their new manager following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, with a contract structure already taking shape.
The information, originally reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport and relayed by TuttoJuve, suggests that the deal will be short-term but incentivized. Spalletti is reportedly nearing an agreement that would see him sign a contract until June (the end of the current season).
Crucially, the agreement would include a clear clause: an automatic renewal of his contract should Spalletti succeed in guiding the Bianconeri to a coveted Champions League qualification spot (a top-four finish). This structure reflects the club’s immediate priority—salvaging the season and ensuring lucrative European football—while also protecting the club’s long-term planning flexibility.
Spalletti is viewed as the ideal candidate to stabilize the team and achieve this critical objective. A meeting between Damien Comolli and the manager is expected to take place today and if things go well, the Italian will be on the verge of being appointed.
