FC Union Berlin have announced a contract extension for Josip Juranovic.
“Union and Berlin have become a real home for my family and me,” said Juranovic, who joined the German capital club in January 2023.
“I have experienced highs and lows with the club, and the last two seasons in particular have been very challenging. As a team, we have managed to stay in the Bundesliga, so I am looking forward to continuing to play my part in the future.
“We want to establish ourselves further in the league and deliver more unforgettable games for our fans.”
Union’s director of professional football, Horst Heldt, expressed his delight at keeping Juranovic at the club.
“In Josip, we are retaining an important player who plays a central role with his experience and flexibility. We are therefore delighted that he wants to continue on this journey with us.”
The Bundesliga club didn’t reveal the length of the Croatian full-back’s new deal.
