According to Abendzeitung, Joshua Kimmich is a doubt for Friday when Bayern Munich host Bayer Leverkusen in a top-of-the-table clash.
Kimmich picked up a thigh injury in Germany’s 4-1 loss to Japan and it has ultimately restricted movement in the area surrounding, this injury meant he sat out Germany’s 2-1 win against France on Tuesday evening.
The midfielder will return to Munich today to undergo tests to find out the extent of the injury. Kimmich hopes that he will be able to resume training tomorrow but at the current moment, he is a doubt for the game against Leverkusen.
If Kimmich is to miss the Leverkusen game it will mean Bayern could be without two of their most important players with Jamal Musiala potentially only being fit enough to start on the bench. This will be a big blow especially as Leverkusen are the only other team in the Bundesliga unbeaten and have gone from strength to strength under Xabi Alonso.
