Le Parisien are reporting that Roma manager José Mourinho isn’t Paris Saint-Germain’s first choice to replace Christophe Galtier, adding that no contact has been made with the Portuguese manager.
Asked about the link to Les Parisiens last week, Mourinho joked to Sky Italia, “If they (PSG) called, they didn’t reach me.” Le Parisien are now reporting that no contact has been made with Mourinho, and he currently isn’t PSG’s first choice. One of the major reasons why he isn’t being considered is – paradoxically – his close relationship with the club’s Sporting Consultant Luḯs Campos.
Campos was part of Mourinho’s backroom staff at Real Madrid, whilst the former also worked closely with the latter’s father. Their close relationship isn’t something that they want to put to the test, and consequently, Le Parisien report that it is unlikely that Mourinho will manage the Parisian side whilst Campos is still there.
Galtier is still in the hot seat at PSG, and he may still be replaced in the off-season, but it is perhaps unlikely that Mourinho will take his place.
