Sky Germany reports that Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha is an alternative target for Borussia Mönchengladbach if Nico Elvedi leaves in the summer.
Talks between the two have already begun and the 25-year-old could cost in the region of €4m, his contract at the Belgian side expires in 2024. Torunarigha joined Gent last summer from Hertha Berlin for €3m having spent the season prior on loan.
Torunarigha spent 16 years with the Hertha system before his move to Gent, the defender has a total of 73 appearances for the second-division side.
The 25-year-old played 45 times for Gent as they reached the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League before losing to eventual winners West Ham.
Earlier it was reported that Gladbach are also interested in Augsburg defender Felix Uduokhai who will not be extending his contract at the club, with his current deal expiring next summer.
