Barcelona summer signing Joan García has this week provided an insight into his relationship with new teammate Marc-André ter Stegen.
This of course comes with the 24-year-old having been forced into something of an uncomfortable position following his arrival in Barcelona.
Joan for his part put pen to paper on terms with Hansi Flick’s side back in June.
The widespread expectation, in turn, was that the aforementioned Ter Stegen, who for so long stood as first-choice in the Blaugrana’s goal, would soon be shipped off.
The German, however, has to date rebuffed any and all interest in his services, ready to stay put to fight for place in Catalunya’s capital.
As much leaves Joan in something of a difficult spot, thrust into the no.1 spot with a disgruntled veteran breathing down his neck.
Speaking during an interview with Mundo Deportivo this week, the subject of his relationship with Ter Stegen was therefore put to the former Espanyol man himself.
Joan, though, in quotes relaid by Diario Sport, went on to assure:
“I’m very good with him, I have no problems, he has a lot of respect for me.”
