According to a report by Foot Mercato, Jean-Clair Todibo (24) has agreed to join West Ham United with The Athletic reporting that a medical has been scheduled for later today.
The Todibo transfer story has moved quickly in the last twelve hours and there is some conflict between the different reports over the exact details of the agreement between the two clubs. Fabrizio Romano who broke the story last night that an agreement had been reached between OGC Nice and West Ham, has stated that the deal is a €40 million loan with an obligation to buy with a sell-on clause attached.
Foot Mercato writes that the deal was agreed upon a few weeks back which would see it being a loan with a €36 million purchase option. The Athletic have not disclosed a price but agree with Romano that a deal was agreed recently but with Foot Mercato on it being a loan with an option to buy.
However, all are unanimous in the belief that Todibo has finally given up on his previous stance of holding up a deal so that he could force a move to Juventus. If all goes well the French international will likely become a West Ham player.
