Bild and Kicker report that Bayern Munich are to be without Jamal Musiala for the next two to three weeks with a hamstring injury picked up against Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
Musiala was replaced by Thomas Müller in the 40th minute as Bayern left it late to beat the Turkish side 2-1 to secure their place in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The 20 year old is certain to miss the Bayern’s game against Heidenheim at the weekend as well as the German national team’s friendlies against Turkey and Austria in the international break. Depending on his recovery, Musiala could be available for Bayern’s game against 1.FC Köln after the international break at the end of the month.
This is the second time that Musiala has injured his hamstring this year having missed the international break in March with a similar injury.
Musiala’s injury adds another important name that will miss out against Heidenheim with Matthijs de Ligt (injured) and Joshua Kimmich (suspended) also absent.
