Fresh details have emerged regarding crossover boxing star Jake Paul’s anticipated return to the boxing ring, as the creator-turned-pro athlete is linked with one of the most ‘ferocious’ fighters in the entire sport.
Paul was last seen in an underwhelming eight-round bout against the former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who, close to 60, attempted to defeat the younger man in an event that aired on Netflix to a reported audience of more than 100 million people.
Though the result and performance from both guys was underwhelming, Paul remains one of the biggest names in the sport due to his wins over the likes of Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz, together with his uncanny ability to successfully troll prominent people in UFC, from execs to fighters themselves, as well as boxers.

Jake Paul’s Return Date to Boxing
Paul expected to fight twice in 2025 after Canelo bout fell apart
In an article at The Sun, Paul’s business partner at Most Valuable Promotions, Nakisa Bidarian, explained their reasons for attending Gervonta Davis’s recent bout against Lamont Roach Jr, in which the latter upset the odds to give ‘Tank’ one of the toughest boxing tests of his life, leaving the judges unable to separate them, who gave both fighters a share of the spoils and a draw result.
According to Bidarian, though Paul nor ‘Tank’, had a bout agreement in place, there was apparent interest from organizers to put them together as, outside of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, they are the only pay-per-view stars left in the American market.
Veteran boxing reporter Dan Rafael reported earlier in the year that there were talks to place Davis against Paul in a boxing exhibition to take place later this year. The draw result in the Roach fight, though, and the subsequent plans for a rematch — which insiders told GIVEMESPORT will likely take place on the 21st of June in Las Vegas — scuppered any negotiation and confirmation for Paul.
Bidarian told The Sun:
“Gervonta Davis, other than Jake Paul, is the only American pay-per-view box office star. And, Gervonta has called Jake a clown multiple times and said he could beat him with one hand tied behind his back.”
“So, not like the guys are massive fans of each other, but they also have respect and understand that the two of them are the standalone kind of massive fighters from the US.”
“Tank is a ferocious puncher, right? He’s viewed as the modern Mike Tyson.”
Because of Paul’s Netflix fight with Tyson himself, “that story arc” from the Baddest Man on the Planet in the 1980s and early 90s, to one of the most intimidating in this era, in Tank, “would have been perfect.” Alas: “It just wasn’t on the horizon.”
Despite ambition plans to fight Canelo, and then Davis, Paul remains without a dance partner for his return to boxing. Bidarian, though, revealed when, and how frequently, fight fans could see Paul fight in 2025 — and beyond.
“We’re actively working on putting together Jake’s fight for this summer,” he said. “And we’ll announce it as soon as we’re ready.”
