FC St. Pauli captain Jackson Irvine is set to make his return from the injury that has kept him out for more than four months.
After spending more than four months on the sidelines, Jackson Irvine is finally nearing his return from injury.
The Australian international, who underwent foot surgery in April, has been training almost fully since last week.
According to Bild and Hamburger Morgenpost, he is set to feature for 15–20 minutes in Wednesday’s friendly against KSV Holstein Kiel.
Once he’s back to full fitness, the 32-year-old will need to earn his place in the starting lineup again, with Chima Fujita and James Sands having played together in central midfield so far this season.
Irvine has featured a total of 127 tiems for St. Pauli in the past.
