Thomas Müller reached a milestone when the final whistle blew for Bayern Munich’s match against Manchester United last night.

With Bayern’s 4-3 victory, the 34-year-old veteran striker has now won 100 Champions League games in just 143 appearances in Europe’s elite club competition.

Müller is only the third player to reach the milestone, joining Cristiano Ronaldo (115 wins with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus) and Iker Casillas (101 wins with Real Madrid and Porto).

“Looking back, it’s been a crazy long time that I’ve been able to spend here in the Champions League,” said Müller, who kicked off his 16th season in the Champions League last night.

“But I’m not done yet, and so it’s just a staging post,” he continued.
