The Japanese international is back on grass and returning to sprint training.
Bayern Munich received some positive news this afternoon as Hiroki Itō has resumed running training today.
After three metatarsal fractures, the defender will be introduced back very cautiously and without any time pressure.
Team doctors will monitor how Itō’s foot reacts to the increasing workload over the coming weeks as they build up to the 2025-26 season.
Internally, October is the month listed as a possible comeback date for the versatile 26-year-old defender.
Itō sustained his latest long-term injury back in late March during a nail-biting 3-2 win over St.Pauli.
The Japanese international has been most unfortunate with knocks and yet to string together a consistent spell of games.
