Italy announce squad for the upcoming games against England and Malta

Italy have now announced their squad for the upcoming international break, when they take on England and Malta.

Italy will also kick-start their qualifying campaign for the Euros and it starts with their game against England on the 23rd of March. The second game sees them take on Malta on the 26th of March.

But the squad for the games have seen a surprise, as Tigre striker Mateo Retegui has been called up for the Azzurri for the first time in his career. Simone Pafundi, who had made it the squad the last time as well, is still part of the side and Alessandro Buongiorno is also part of the side.

Premier League duo of Wilfriend Gnonto and Gianluca Scamacca are also in the squad and so are midfielders Marco Verratti, Jorginho, Sandro Tonali, Bryan Cristante, Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Wladimiro Falcone has also earned his maiden call-up, with young Giorgio Scalvini making it to the side once again.
