With their defensive line being a ageing one, it is hardly surprising that Inter are looking for defensive reinforcements in the market. Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian are expected to leave at the end of the season when their contracts are up and the same could apply to Stefan De Vrij. In any case, Inter have decided that they want to sign Manuel Akanji on a permanent basis.
Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi has a contract expiring in the summer and it is quite clear that he will move. Palace pulled the plug on a deal to Liverpool in the last minutes of the winter transfer window and now the Reds, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Inter are likely to try to explore a swap deal with Yann Bisseck in January.
Inter has other, perhaps, more realistic targets as per calciomercato.com. The two players at the top of Inter’s shopping list are Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic, the Bosnian defender, born in 2003 and Udinese’s Oumar Solet, who they were linked in during the summer too.
