VfL Wolfsburg attacker Patrick Wimmer has been forced to pull out of the Austrian national team squad.
Die Wölfe confirmed on Sunday that the 24-year-old will be unable to link up with the rest of the squad due to a thigh injury.
Wimmer also missed Wolfsburg’s 3-1 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday because of the injury, which will keep him sidelined until further notice.
So far this season, he has featured six times for the Bundesliga club, producing four assists.
Wolfsburg will be hoping to have Wimmer back in action when they resume their Bundesliga campaign against Stuttgart after the international break.
