Hugo Lloris open to joining PSG as Tottenham departure nears

With his departure from Tottenham Hotspur this summer now all but confirmed, former France captain Hugo Lloris could be set for a return to France, eleven years after first leaving for North London.

Although a move to his formative club Nice now appears unlikely, the veteran is open to joining Paris Saint-Germain, according to RMC Sport tonight.

Lloris, whose contract with the Premier League side expires at the end of the upcoming campaign, is among several names on the Ligue 1 champions’ shortlist, with Morocco’s Yassine Bounou another potential recruit as the management looks to provide competition for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The World Cup winner could also join Inter – who are about to lose André Onana to Manchester United – although the Nerazzurri appear to be favouring a move for Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer. Among the other options on the table, Lloris has turned down an offer from Fiorentina, while the proposal from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal was not up to his expectations.
