Yussuf Poulsen is excited for the new chapter of his career at Hamburger SV.
HSV have replaced 2. Bundesliga top-scorer Davie Selke with the signing of the highly-experienced Yussuf Poulsen. The Danish international now speaks about the transfer by comparing the two clubs.
“I’m incredibly excited about this new chapter,” said the 31-year-old striker. “HSV is a huge club for me. I’m not giving up anything else. In Leipzig, we wouldn’t have played in Europe either, so there are 34 games plus the cup. I have those in Hamburg now, too.”
Poulsen spent 12 years at the Saxon club as he was part of their journey before the promotion to the Bundesliga. He’ll now lead the line for Hamburg’s return to top-flight football.
