Pedri has suffered another injury that is set to sideline him for the game against Almería and Barcelona’s friendly game in Dallas.
According to Marca, Pedri has been hit with another injury just days after recovering from his most recent muscle injury that sidelined him for 12 La Liga games. The midfielder was reportedly suffering from some discomfort during Tuesday’s training session, the day before Barcelona’s final game of the calendar year.
This setback will again call into question the 21-year-old’s injury record, who has already missed over a year of football in the past three years. Barcelona and Spain will hope that this injury is not another reoccurrence and that he will be able to return for the new year.
As well as Pedri, for the club’s next game, Xavi will be without Gavi, Marcos Alonso, Marc-André ter Stegen, and Iñigo Martínez through injury, and Frenkie de Jong will miss the game through suspension.
