Leo Østigård is close to joining Hoffenheim on a permanent transfer.
L’Equipe report that Hoffenheim are about to sign Leo Østigård permanently from Stade Rennais. The Scudetto winner with Napoli only played for six months at his current club after a €7 million transfer.
However, he quickly made a great impression in the Bundesliga in Hoffenheim’s bid to avoid relegation. He only played 11 games, including the home defeat to Leipzig where he was sent off in the first-half, but the Sinsheim club is satisfied with his performance level.
L’Equipe added that they’re awaiting departures to finalize the move. Stanley Nsoki is expected to leave Hoffenheim to join Union Berlin on an initial loan deal. The Norwegian first experienced German football through St. Pauli in the 2019/20 2. Bundesliga campaign.
