According to Florian Plettenberg, Hoffenheim and Leipzig have restarted talks for defender David Raum.
The journalist reported that both clubs had stopped negotiations earlier in the week due to a disagreement over price.
Leipzig had offered €24m for Raum which didn’t meet Hoffenheim’s requirements of around €28-€30m.
Plettenberg also reports that talks have since restarted as both parties seek to come to an agreement over the transfer fee.
Personal terms between the German international and Leipzig have already been agreed upon.
The transfer now depends on whether Leipzig can pay a fee that Hoffenheim are happy with.
Raum has previously been monitored by Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham but has always preferred staying in Germany.
Raum joined Hoffenheim on a free transfer from Greuther Fürth last summer and has a contract with TSG until 2026, but with no European football this season, a departure is now likely. During his maiden season in the Bundesliga, Raum created 13 goals.
