“He’s probably the number one striker in the league”

According to Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac, Jonas Wind is arguably the best striker in the Bundesliga at the moment.

Jonas Wind has started the new season in impressive fashion, finding the back of the net four times in VfL Wolfsburg’s first two Bundesliga games.


Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac goes as far as to say that the Denmark international is arguably the best striker in the Bundesliga at the moment.

“He’s the number one striker for us at the moment and probably in the league too,” Kovac told Sport Bild after yesterday’s 2-1 win over FC Köln.

“He’s hitting everything right now and he’s in a really good mood. You could see that in the preparation. He’s physically fit, very motivated and a leader.”
